Improved WHS practices for Queensland government clients

At Prominence, we regard management of health and safety risks in workplaces (WHS) of the highest importance.

We have supported organisations such as the Department of Transport and Main Roads, the Port of Brisbane, and Queensland Health’s Metro South Hospital and Health Services with WHS management for specific projects, including service such as:

  • audits and reviews of WHS compliance, processes and operating structures within the relevant legislative, regulatory, governance and contractual requirements
  • development of WHS management plans, new WHS policy, management standards and associated procedures
  • development and review of continuous improvement for WHS management systems
  • WHS accident investigations (including serious road traffic accidents).

Artefacts we have created to plan, initiate, manage, evaluate and continuously improve WHS for our clients’ projects have included:

  • audit reports
  • WHS management plans and resourcing review reports
  • policy, procedures, and management standards
  • board of director papers
  • gap analyses of current management systems against the ISO 45001 standard for health and safety at work
  • training material to underpin the roll-out of revised arrangements for contractor management.
