Informing CUAS decisions across Defence estate and infrastructure

Prominence was engaged by a Defence Security and Estate Group to support work on counter uncrewed aerial system (CUAS) arrangements. The organisation needed a clear, evidence-based view of its current posture and options, and a way to link technical, operational and estate considerations into practical recommendations.

Our team worked with stakeholders in security, operations, infrastructure and procurement to understand existing CUAS arrangements, constraints and risk drivers. Through structured engagement and data gathering, we helped the client clarify objectives, identify key decision points, and bring together information on operational requirements, site characteristics, technology options and commercial considerations.

Based on this engagement, we supported the development of analysis and artefacts that framed CUAS options in terms that were meaningful for both estate managers and operational stakeholders. The work focused on helping the client compare approaches, understand implications for risk, cost and implementation, and prepare material suitable for internal decision making and further program development.

This engagement demonstrated how independent, cross stakeholder support can help Defence organisations bring together diverse inputs into clear, practical insights on emerging capability challenges such as CUAS. It also reinforced our ability to operate at the intersection of security, infrastructure and operations to support defensible decisions in high assurance environments.
